About the Practitioner

Hello and welcome: I graduated from Cedar Mountain Center For Massage In 1996 where the school provided

700 hours of Training designed to meet or exceed the current national average of hours in massage therapy education. The courses are structured to give students a comprehensive, balanced approach to the profession. Students learn basic massage theory and technique through traditional Swedish massage. Students also learn contemporary modalities such as deep tissue bodywork, trigger-point therapy, hydrotherapy, sports massage and facilitated stretching. Understanding musculoskeletal anatomy and the physiological functions of the body is essential in the development of a successful therapeutic practice. Students are taught to find and feel every palpable skeletal muscle and tendon on the human frame as well as many bony landmarks and joint structures. The career development course teaches fundamentals of operating your own Practice. Therapists with skills, reputation, and ability at projecting her or his abilities will attract the largest share of new clients.

My mission as a massage therapist is to provide a safe environment that supports people in their pursuit of wellness by providing skillful, client-centered bodywork that encourages relaxation, increased bodily and self-awareness, and helps them to attain their goals for physical, emotional and spiritual well being.

I give massage therapy treatments because I love it! And I especially love it when helps. Massage therapy feels great. When I get a massage I feel changed, not only did I just give myself one whole hour for myself, I also got help for some aches and pains. I feel relaxed and rejuvenated at the same time. I sleep better, my moods are better and over all I feel more focused.

I love knowing that I helped my clients feel better for that day.
